WP-CLI

VX adds its own command families to WP-CLI. Run them from the WordPress root, and add --user=<admin> for commands that need an administrator.

wp vx-framework config

Inspect, export, import, override and reset configuration. The full reference is in WP-CLI config commands.

wp vx-framework abilities

Run any VX ability from the shell: the same operations AI assistants use, with the same validation, activity log and undo.

wp vx-framework abilities list [--mode=read|validate|write] [--mcp]	Lists abilities. --mcp shows only those exposed to AI clients.
wp vx-framework abilities run <ability> [--input=<json>]	Runs one ability with a JSON input.
wp vx-framework abilities blueprint [--section=<sections>] [--managed-only]	Prints the site's data model.
wp vx-framework abilities mcp	Shows whether MCP is on, its address, and the exposed tools.

Technical details for LLMs

• abilities blueprint --section: any of post_types, taxonomies, fieldsets, field_types, dynamic_data; --format supported on list, blueprint, run, mcp.
• abilities run executes through the same wp_get_ability()->execute() path, including the manage_options check (hence --user). The input shape for write abilities: vx-framework/describe-abilities.
• Commands exit non-zero on failure.
