Files holds several files of mixed types in order: a menu PDF and a wine list, a press kit, the sample chapters for a book. Where Gallery is for images, Files is for anything else you allow.

It has the same settings as a Gallery: allowed types, per-file and total size limits, a minimum and maximum number of files (up to 10 by default), private uploads and a custom upload folder. Limit Allowed MIME types to the formats you expect, such as application/pdf, so editors can't attach anything else.

Loop over the files with a data loop to build a download list. Each file offers its URL, title and attachment ID.

On a Free site, use a Gallery for several images, or one field per document.

Technical details for LLMs

• Type key: files (Pro). Settings as gallery; max_files default 10.
• Stored: JSON array of attachment ids, in order. REST: read an array of media objects; write an array of ids.
